We have a fruit fly infestation.

Who knows how to get rid of them?! Besides cleaning. We've done that..

There's a strange scent incising the air. It's familiar in so many ways yet, almost forgotten. A scent that brings back memories of old. Haha.

It's the smell of a Stewart Family Reunion! In what better place than Colorful Colorado!?

I don't think this state is ready for us..

I'm throwing Green Pepper and Onion filled Elk Burgers topped with Pepper jack Cheese on the grill. Hopefully they turn out well!

We're going to play Volleyball again tonight.
I have a new book to read.
It was 75 today, warm weather is here to stay.
I'm somewhat smiling again.
I missed the last soccer game.
We have four games in two weeks starting sunday.
Frisbee's are a great invention.
I'm hardly making any money.
Not saving any.
I guess we are getting a FOURTH roommate in a few weeks.
^ That's pretty frustrating.
I'm gonna lose pretty much all of my privacy and sanity.
The girls here are beautiful.
They guys here are pretty chill.

I don't really know what else to say.

Why is this illegal still?

I was in Boulder yesterday from about 3-5. It was weird when around oh say, 4:20, there were over 12, 000 people gathered on one field to burn one down at the same time. Then twenty minutes later, everyone was back to their own thing, going about their normal day.

No injuries, no deaths, no stupidity, no drama, nothing; except 12, 000 people hanging out having a good time.

To anyone who thinks weed should still be illegal: You're an ignorant, close minded, unintelligent, small person. And that's just the truth.

LEGALIZE IT!!!! Sure, it's not for everyone, but it's not a crime either.

Yesterday was Fantastic

W.S.O.A. Meeting- Monday (and other occurances)

Monday is going to be the largest gathering of WSOA in the world. Ever. Over 20, 000 people are expected to join in the festivities in Boulder alone. I'll be there.

We got nailed with wet, heavy snow last night. It wasn't too bad delivering yesterday nor today, but the rain/snow really hit home for us...

...we have two leaks in our ceiling; one in the bathroom and one in the living room. Sweet. We've rigged the leak in the bathroom to at least drain into the shower but, we had to resort to a remedy of age and use a pot in the living room.

I'm not trying to act like I've been perfect in this BEDA thing but, a forewarning that I'll be missing the next two days or so. We're going to Copper Mountain tomorrow to watch a free STS9 show, and Monday we have things to do in Denver and Boulder, so needless to say I won't be in the house much to have time to write.

Yesterday was the first time in my life that a soccer game of mine was canceled entirely due to rain. No lighting, no thunder, no snow, no hail, no sleet, nothing. Just rain. Needless to say, I was pretty upset with the number of fairies that say they play soccer around here. They need to grow a pair. But who knows, maybe they were just scared?!

So, I ran things at volleyball last night instead (by my standards). The place we play on Thursdays nights is pretty sweet. It was about 6 indoor beach volleyball courts, a bar, and even two or three beer pong tables going. It's five bucks to go in and play some volleyball and it goes until 2 a.m. Good times, good times. AND, its only a half mile from home; perfect.
Thursday night Drop-In Indoor Beach Volleyball, 10-2a.m.

Digg it.

Randoms

A while ago, I, like every one else, got my taxes back. I had a Monday morning off, so I went to go get new Brakes and Tires. The Brakes took about three hours longer than expected (Mechanic Time) so the tires were going to have to wait a day.
On the last delivery of the night, I got back to the store only to find one of the two tires I was going to replace, was yeah- you already guessed it. Flat.
Ah well, that's life.

Chuck, our Apartment's Maintenance guy, was Born and raised in Muskegon. Small world.

There are no flat driveways, they all have curbs at the bottom of them that you must go over.

The pre-teens here dress like they have all been going to Raves for years.

It's getting warmer here and the women have never been more fun to look at. Yet. Not the pre-teens though.

Watch the movie Waking Life.

Who wants to take a trip with me this summer?

Spain might be in the future.

Might have finally figured out a way to make money.

The mountains here look different every day. It's a rather nice latent feature of here. That and the 320+ days of sun every year.

More to come?

Happy Easter

I know it's been a few days but, I don't feel that bad :-p It's nice knowing that I'm not just glued to the internet and my computer anymore.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great Easter! I had to work today though, which was a change of pace from Easter's past. As wonderful as another Brunch at grandma's sounds, I guess I'll have to settle with trying to cook a good dinner for us all tonight!

Things have been going fine the last few days, just been working for most of it all. We have two games this week; Thursday and Sunday. So far we are undefeated, but with two ties; so, nothing special.

More to come.

Music's better live

Sorry, I don't have much to say today.

But, hey, at least I told you that much! :-p

So, not only did I fail in the BEDA challenge, but I did it spectacularly, in only one day!!

But, here I am anyways, back by popular demand (hah).

At the moment, only a few things are on my mind; work, play, and work.

I'm ready to leave the DD's franchise behind and find something new. It's not that I don't like delivering pizzas; in fact I actually do enjoy it, but no, it's my bosses. Yeah, I'm sure we've all had a boss or two that we didn't much care for, and this is no different. To be fair, I do like my bosses; they're really great, nice, friendly people. But, when it comes to running a business and managing employees, they aren't so gifted. To keep a long rant short, I guess I rather work for someone whose IQ is higher than mine. And not any less than 20 points below mine (Sad, harsh, but true).

Play, on the other hand has been fairly good to me. We tied our game yesterday, 2-2, but I finally got a goal. Nothing special, I was fed the ball on the PK with no one but the goalie in front of me. The tie, though, is disappointing. Even though this team won the League last year, it's still not the result we were looking for. As it stands, we're 1-0-2 with 7 or so more games to go.
I've been trying to keep a consistent lifting schedule, and I'm liking the way I'm starting to look!

I'll feel a little down leaving DD's, only because we do have a few very cute girls that work in the store, which were always fun to flirt with. But hey, now that I'm leaving, maybe they'll be fair game! :)

See ya tomorrow!!

Time to back up my word

I know I said that I would be writing more, and to be honest I can't make up a good enough excuse to say why I haven't been. But regardless, I've been challenged by a friend of mine to Blog Every Day in April (BEDA). I guess a writer somewhere put out the informal challenge, and I'll take my best shot at completing the task! (Albeit, starting a few days late)

Enough small talk, let's get down to business; or whatever you want to call what's about to follow.

Actually, first, a quick side note: Tip your delivery drivers!! They depend on tips just as much as a waitress. Thanks :)

Work, in general, is actually going pretty well (finally). It took a while for a it to start picking up, but business is finally growing for our store, which means more money in your humble narrator's pocket! However, I am keeping my eyes open for anything better that may come along. So, who knows how long I'll be a pizza delivery boy.

Besides work, Colorado is treating me pretty well. With the exception of the last week or so, the weather here has been amazing. It's allowed for a few hikes, games, and small day trips (work permitting). I'm getting pretty excited for the temperature to stay a little higher with the new season. We'll be able to go up to Estes Park, which I hear is nothing short of stunning, for a few days at a time.

For those of you that don't know, I am playing in the Boulder Men's League- First Division. We've had two games so far and our record is 1-0-1. Our last two games have been canceled due to snow, but we have a make up game Tuesday evening. I'll let everyone know how that goes!

Let's see, what else?

  • Car still runs
  • Rent's in the mail
  • Bills are paid (mostly)
  • Women here are B-E-A-U-TIFUL (not trying to land one yet, though)
  • Roommates are awesome
  • Landscapes are stunning
  • Pizza gets old, no matter how 'gourmet'
  • Been lifting fairly regularly
  • Eating pretty healthy
  • etc, etc.

More to come!!

The title makes it all

So, I've been slacking and I apologize. I've wanted to get writing again, letting people know what's going on with me and all that kind of good stuff, but every time I pulled up the posting screen, even with all my thoughts ever racing, I drew a blank. Go figure.

But, after some deliberation, and maybe a touch of guilt leaving some in the dark (my bad), here I am and here it goes!

I want to start writing about my ideas and philosophies, start letting my lack of voice be heard. I can only speak for myself, but I care about what's going on and where our society is going. I care about the state humanity is going through.

I've always had ideas, thoughts, fantasies (if nothing else), that could make the world a better place (if only in my head) but now, it's time to start sharing them and witnessing how close, or punctual my thoughts are.

Those are to come, be certain. However, you should all know where I'm coming from and where I am now!

My roommate, Steve, and I live in Broomfield, Co. It's about 15 minutes from Denver and 10 to Boulder. We get about 320 days of sunshine here every year and its a beautiful place to live. There are countless things to do outside when the temperature is nice, which unfortunately, is about every day. The culture here is amazing too. Lots of music, coffee shops, galleries, libraries, museums, local joints, etc.

I work at the fantastic Double D's Sourdough Pizza as a Delivery Boy! Gotta love it! I play for a Men's team in Boulder, Sevilla F.C. Ch-ch-ch-ch-check it out, sevillafc.us

We don't have any cable, so I've finally been starting to watch the movies, documentaries, read the books, and research the things I've always been and am now interested in! So, needless to say, I've got a lot floating around that I'm just going to throw out there.

Anyway, stay tuned for fascinating words as I'll do my best to write as frequently as possible.
