As for your work search, they are looking for customer service people at the Wyoming Inn. While the pay is better than delivering pizza, the locale may be far less desirable! :)

Okay, since this is a writing effort, here's an idea for a daily blog. Why don't you go back and finish writing your story about the cop, and do it in short daily chapters or editions?
